Brain and Somatization Symptoms in Psychiatric Disorders

The Frontiers published an eBook “Brain and Somatization Symptoms in Psychiatric Diseases“, edited by Wenbin Guo, Fengyu Zhang, Feng Liu, and Chaogan Yan. Beginning with an editorial by the editors, this book included 25 research articles, 1 systematic review, and 1 case report. Except for one study was on animals, all others were performed in humans. They are primarily comprised of neuroimaging studies of patients with somatization disorders, major depressive disorder, substance use disorders (methamphetamine users and ketamine dependent), insomnia and pain, schizophrenia, cognitive function, and suicidal behaviors. Except for one study was designed with the interventional component, and the others were with a cross-sectional study of patients with matched controls for comparisons.
